UAE Investigators Uncover Alleged Terror Attempt on Flydubai Flight

Investigations into an incident involving Flydubai flight FZ1073 have revealed an attempted terrorist operation, according to the United Arab Emirates’ attorney general.

Attorney General Hamad Saif Al Shamsi announced the findings on Saturday, identifying the aircraft’s first officer as the person involved in the alleged attempt.

According to Al Shamsi, investigators found that the first officer had begun trying to carry out the operation, rather than merely planning it.

The brief account of the announcement did not describe the alleged actions, the flight’s route or the outcome of the incident.
