Egypt Develops 16 Sinai Communities Linking Homes, Farmland and Water

Egypt is continuing work on integrated development projects across the Sinai Peninsula, with 16 development communities designed to bring together housing, agricultural land and water sources for local residents.

The communities combine homes with farmland, placing residential needs alongside the resources required for agricultural activity.

Wells form part of the projects’ water infrastructure, complementing the provision of land and housing within the same development areas.

The initiative reflects an integrated approach to development in Sinai, linking accommodation and farming resources rather than treating them as separate needs.
