Israel to Close West Bank and Gaza Crossings Around October 7 Anniversary

Israeli authorities decided on Sunday to impose a closure on the West Bank and shut crossings leading to the Gaza Strip on the coming Monday and Wednesday.

The restrictions coincide with the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023 attacks. The decision covers two separate days rather than a continuous closure.

In the West Bank, the measure was described as a general closure. No details were provided on its scope or on any exemptions.

For Gaza, the decision calls for the closure of crossings into the territory on both days. The information provided did not specify which crossings would be affected or the hours the restrictions would apply.
