Egyptian Drug Authority: PCV13 Vaccine Technology Transfer Supports Local Manufacturing

The Egyptian Drug Authority has highlighted the role of transferring pneumococcal vaccine manufacturing technology in strengthening domestic pharmaceutical production.

Dr. Tamer El-Husseiny, deputy chairman of the authority, attended the launch of the implementation phase for the transfer of technology to manufacture the pneumococcal vaccine PCV13.

El-Husseiny participated on behalf of Dr. Ali El-Ghamrawy, chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority.

The launch marks a step toward putting the technology transfer into practice, with the authority linking the initiative to efforts to localize vaccine manufacturing in Egypt.
