Explosions Rock Kyiv as Ukraine Warns of Russian Missile Threat

Explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, early Wednesday as the Ukrainian military issued air raid warnings over a ballistic missile threat.

The blasts coincided with alerts warning of a potential large-scale Russian attack. The information available did not establish the scale of the assault.

There were no immediate details in the report about casualties or damage, or which parts of the capital were affected.

The cause of the explosions was not confirmed, and it remained unclear whether they were the result of missile impacts or air defence activity.
