Al-Azhar Grand Imam Says Purposeful Media Is a Partner in Building Awareness

Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el-Tayeb received Amr el-Leithy, president of the Union of Radio and Television Organizations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries, on Wednesday.

The meeting focused on ways to strengthen cooperation between Al-Azhar and the broadcasting union.

El-Tayeb highlighted the role of purposeful media as a partner in building public awareness, placing that responsibility at the heart of his message to the union’s president.

The discussions brought together Al-Azhar’s religious leadership and a union serving radio and television organizations across OIC member countries.
