Trump Says Threats Prompted US Bomber Relocation From Fairford

US President Donald Trump said Monday that Washington had moved American bombers from Fairford air base in southwest England because of threats targeting the aircraft.

Trump cited those threats as the reason for relocating the bombers, which had been stationed at the base. He did not specify their new location in the account provided.

The move followed a security incident near Fairford that prompted an investigation into whether terrorist acts were being planned.

The possible terrorist plot remains the subject of an inquiry. Trump’s remarks linked the relocation to threats against the bombers, without providing further details about the incident near the base.
