UAE Condemns Israeli Excavation and Fortification Work Inside Syria

The United Arab Emirates on Monday condemned Israeli forces’ continued excavation, bulldozing and construction of fortifications inside Syrian territory.

The work forms part of what is known as the “Sufa 53” line, according to the UAE’s condemnation.

The UAE affirmed its categorical rejection of violations of Syria’s sovereignty, placing territorial integrity at the centre of its objection to the Israeli activity.

It also rejected threats to Syria’s security and stability, linking its condemnation of the ground works to concerns over their impact on the country.
