Argentina Face Benin in Friendly Billed as Messi Farewell

Argentina take on Benin in a friendly billed as a farewell occasion for Lionel Messi, putting the Argentine star at the centre of attention.

The match is presented as a tribute to Messi, although the brief announcement does not explain the nature of the farewell.

It does not specify whether the occasion marks a departure from international football or another milestone. The farewell description alone does not confirm a retirement decision.

No score, team line-ups or match incidents were provided in the available details, which describe the fixture as a live event.
