Egypt’s Disability Council Begins Work on National Strategy Implementation Plan for 2026–2030

Egypt’s National Council for Persons with Disabilities has begun preparing an implementation plan for the 2026–2030 national strategy for persons with disabilities.

The council organised a meeting in cooperation with the Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center as part of the preparations.

The gathering brought together around 180 representatives from government institutions, United Nations agencies, international organisations and civil society organisations.

The meeting brought public institutions and non-governmental partners into the planning process as the council begins work on translating the five-year strategy into an implementation framework.
