Al-Azhar Supreme Council Approves Separate Veterinary Internship Year

Dr. Magdy Hassan, head of Egypt’s Veterinarians Syndicate, announced that Al-Azhar’s Supreme Council has approved separating the internship year at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

The decision was issued by the council chaired by the Grand Imam. Hassan described it as an important step for veterinary education.

The announcement concerns the status of the practical training year within the faculty’s study structure. It did not specify how the separation would affect students’ academic or training requirements.

No implementation date or details on which student cohorts would be covered were provided in the announcement.
