Yamal Wins Third Straight Kopa Trophy as De la Fuente Takes Coaching Honor

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal claimed the Kopa Trophy for the world’s best young player for a third consecutive year at the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony in London.

The Spanish forward extended his run of individual honors, retaining one of the ceremony’s leading awards for emerging talent.

There was also recognition for Spain on the coaching side, with national team boss Luis de la Fuente winning the men’s best coach award.

The two prizes put Spanish football in the spotlight at the event in the British capital, honoring Yamal’s continued success and De la Fuente’s work in charge of the national team.
