Egyptian Schools Mark October Victory Anniversary With Lessons in Loyalty

Egyptian schools celebrated the 53rd anniversary of the October victory, using the occasion to teach students about the wartime achievement and its place in the country’s collective memory.

The commemorations brought the story of the victory into school life, linking remembrance of the past with lessons in loyalty and national belonging.

Schools placed students at the heart of the anniversary, seeking to make the events of October meaningful to generations who know them through history rather than personal experience.

The educational focus extended beyond marking a date. By presenting the victory as an enduring lesson, the celebrations sought to strengthen students’ connection to their country and keep its memory alive.
