Egypt Completes Upgrade of 33 Main Railway Workshops

Egypt’s Transport Ministry has announced the completion of upgrades to 33 main railway workshops, aimed at improving production efficiency and raising technical quality standards.

The development work was carried out in partnership with major international companies. The announcement did not identify the firms involved.

The ministry said the upgrades were intended to strengthen the workshops’ productive capacity while improving the quality of their technical work.

The announcement confirmed that development of all 33 workshops was complete, but provided no figures measuring improvements in output or technical performance.
