More Than 145,000 Displaced in Yemen, IOM Says

More than 145,000 people have been displaced across eight Yemeni governorates since fighting intensified along the country’s western coast in June, according to the International Organization for Migration.

The organization published the new figures on Monday, documenting the scale of displacement since the escalation.

The tally covers eight governorates, highlighting how the movement of people has extended across several parts of Yemen amid the conflict.

The figures offer a measure of the human impact of the fighting on the western coast, with displacement affecting more than 145,000 people over the period covered.
