Climate Center Issues Urgent Advice to Sugarcane Farmers Ahead of Cold Spells

Dr. Mohamed Ali Fahim, head of the Climate Information Center at Egypt’s Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, has issued an urgent recommendation to sugarcane farmers as autumn weather sets in.

The advice is directed specifically at growers of the crop ahead of anticipated cold spells, drawing attention to the seasonal shift in conditions.

Fahim’s recommendation comes through the ministry’s climate information center, linking the guidance to changing weather rather than a broader announcement on sugarcane production.

The available information did not specify the measures farmers were advised to take or give dates for the expected cold spells.
