Naza Tops Italian Box Office Ahead of Avengers

Naza has taken the top spot at the Italian box office, outperforming Avengers as the secretly filmed production continues to stir controversy.

The film depicts Israeli crimes in Gaza, bringing the events there to cinema audiences abroad. Its subject matter and clandestine production have been central to the attention surrounding it.

Naza had already caused a stir inside Israel while receiving a warm reception in cinemas outside the country. Its Italian box-office success now brings it back into the spotlight.

The lead over Avengers marks a notable commercial achievement for a film centred on Gaza. No ticket-sales figures or revenue totals were provided.
