Kasr Al-Ainy Performs 200 Free Robotic Surgeries, Reports 90,000 Operations in a Year

Kasr Al-Ainy hospitals have performed 200 robot-assisted surgeries free of charge, according to Dr. Hossam Salah, dean of Cairo University’s Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine.

Salah highlighted robotic surgery as an area in which the university’s hospitals stand out, pointing to their provision of the procedures at no cost to patients.

He said Kasr Al-Ainy is the only university hospital offering this type of surgery free of charge.

Salah also reported that the hospitals carried out 90,000 surgical operations over a year, alongside his account of their work in robotic surgery.
