Egypt, Senegal Water Ministers Discuss Coordination on African Water Issues

Egypt’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam met with Senegal’s Minister of Water and Sanitation Cheikh Tidiane to discuss strengthening coordination on water issues across Africa.

The talks focused on closer cooperation between the two ministers in addressing the continent’s water agenda.

Sewilam also chairs the African Water Facility, while his Senegalese counterpart heads the African Ministers’ Council on Water.

Their meeting brought together representatives of the two African water bodies alongside their roles as national ministers, with coordination on shared water concerns at the centre of the discussions.
