Quranic Verse Inspires Young American to Save 19 Students on Runaway Bus

A young American man risked his life to stop an out-of-control school bus in Minnesota, saving 19 students after the driver suffered a medical emergency.

He jumped onto the bus and managed to bring it to a halt, preventing what could have been a deadly incident for the children on board.

The young man credited a verse from the Quran with inspiring him to act. The account did not identify the verse or provide further details about how he stopped the vehicle.

He stressed that he had not been seeking to become a hero. His aim, he said, was to protect the children.
