Egyptian Officials Inaugurate First Cyclotron Unit at Shefaa Al-Orman Hospitals

Senior Egyptian officials have inaugurated the first cyclotron unit at Shefaa Al-Orman Hospitals, marking a new addition to the hospitals’ medical infrastructure.

Ambassador Nabila Makram, head of the technical secretariat of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, attended the opening alongside Social Solidarity Minister Maya Morsy.

Manal Awad, minister of local development and environment, and the governor of Luxor also took part in the inauguration.

Cyclotrons are particle accelerators used in medicine to produce radioactive isotopes for applications including diagnostic imaging. The newly inaugurated unit is the first of its kind within Shefaa Al-Orman Hospitals.
