Al-Azhar Assigns Walid Abul-Enein to Lead Central Administration for Administrative Affairs

Al-Azhar has assigned Dr. Walid Abul-Enein El-Sayed to serve as acting head of its Central Administration for Administrative Affairs.

Sheikh Ayman Abdel Ghani, Al-Azhar’s deputy, issued the decision in implementation of directives from Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb.

Abul-Enein is the director general of Al-Azhar’s General Administration for Security. The decision assigns him to carry out the duties of the administrative affairs leadership post.

The announcement did not specify the duration of the assignment or whether Abul-Enein would continue to hold his security role alongside his new duties.
