Cairo Water Week to Examine Unconventional Water Solutions for Food Security

The ninth Cairo Water Week will explore the relationship between water resources and food security, with a thematic focus on unconventional water solutions for agricultural and food systems.

The theme will examine how these solutions can help safeguard the systems that support food production, bringing water management into the wider discussion of food security.

By addressing agriculture and food systems together, the focus extends beyond water availability alone to its role in sustaining food supplies.

The discussion will place unconventional approaches at the centre of that relationship, considering their potential contribution to securing both water resources and food production.
