US Plans for Potential Strikes on Iran Await Trump’s Decision

US military leaders are preparing a broad list of potential targets in Iran, with any decision to launch strikes awaiting President Donald Trump’s approval.

Commanders at US Central Command and officials at the Pentagon are working on the targeting plans. The preparations concern possible military action rather than an announced operation.

US officials believe new military operations could take place before the end of the year. That assessment points to a possible window for action, not a confirmed timetable.

The information available does not identify the potential targets or specify the scale of any operation. Whether the plans move forward remains dependent on Trump’s decision.
