Electronics and Solar Energy Among Targets of Industrial Strategy, Khaled Hashem Says

Electronics and solar energy are among the industries targeted by Egypt’s industrial strategy, Industry Minister Khaled Hashem said during a visit to the factories of the Arab International Optronics Company.

The minister inspected the company’s facilities to review its manufacturing capabilities and the technological solutions it develops.

The visit also focused on the company’s role in supporting development projects, including those serving infrastructure, energy and smart cities.

Hashem’s inspection brought together the strategy’s focus on electronics and solar energy with a review of the company’s capacity to support technology-driven development.
