Egypt Establishes 1,102 Tech Companies With EGP 1.16 Billion in Issued Capital in Three Months

Egypt recorded the establishment of 1,102 telecommunications and information technology companies between April and June 2026, with combined issued capital of EGP 1.16 billion.

The number of newly established companies rose from about 697 in the same period of 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 405 companies.

That represented growth of approximately 58.1%, a sharp rise in company formation across the telecommunications and IT sector.

The figures cover businesses established during the three-month period, rather than the total number of companies operating in the sector. The EGP 1.16 billion figure refers to their issued capital.
