Qatar Says Contacts With US and Iran Continue to Resolve Middle East Conflict

Qatar said Tuesday that contacts with the United States and Iran were continuing as part of efforts to resolve the conflict in the Middle East.

The statement indicated that diplomatic communication remained ongoing, but provided no details on the substance of the discussions or any progress toward a resolution.

Separately, the Amiri Diwan confirmed that Qatar’s emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni in Doha.
