Serbia’s Vucic Concedes Election Defeat to Student-Led Protest Movement

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic acknowledged on Sunday that he had lost the parliamentary elections to a protest movement led by students.

“It is clear that we have lost these elections,” Vucic said, conceding defeat in a contest that pitted the ruling party against the student-led movement.

The concession came amid fears of unrest and warnings that the ruling party might refuse to accept the outcome.
