Kim Oversees Missile Test, Calls for Greater ‘Lethality’ in North Korea’s Weapons

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the launch of a new intermediate-range strategic missile, state media reported Sunday.

Kim called for continued efforts to strengthen what he described as the “lethality” of the country’s offensive weapons.

His remarks placed the weapons’ destructive capability at the centre of his message following the test.

The report did not provide details on the missile’s flight distance or specify when the launch took place.
