Reports: Saudi Arabia Prepares for Possible Attack on Yemen’s Ansar Allah

Saudi Arabia is reportedly preparing for a possible attack on Yemen’s Ansar Allah group, according to sources cited in reports, as fighting and diplomatic efforts unfold in parallel.

The reported preparations come amid attacks on the kingdom. The sources’ account points to a possible Saudi operation, rather than a confirmed decision to launch one.

In Yemen, bloody battles in Taiz add to the backdrop of violence. The summary of the reports provided no further details on those clashes or the attacks on Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Iran has put forward a proposal for a political path, which Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan are discussing. Details of the proposal and the countries’ positions were not disclosed.

The developments place the prospect of further military action alongside discussions of a political approach, with no outcome reported for either track.
