Special Ceremony and Huge Interest Expected for Messi’s Argentina Farewell

Lionel Messi is preparing for what is being billed as his final appearance for Argentina when the national team hosts Benin in the early hours of Wednesday.

The occasion is expected to feature a special farewell celebration for the Argentine star, placing the focus on his international career as well as the match itself.

Huge interest is anticipated for the encounter, though the available details do not specify attendance figures or outline the planned ceremony.

The night is being presented as a tribute to one of football’s greatest players. The brief announcement, however, does not include confirmation from Messi or the Argentine football authorities that this will be his final international match.
