Egyptian Exchange Turnover Reaches EGP 2.497 Trillion in September

Total trading value on the Egyptian Exchange reached about EGP 2,496.7 billion in September 2026, compared with EGP 2,490.7 billion in August.

The monthly figures showed a modest increase in overall turnover, with September’s total remaining close to the level recorded a month earlier.

Daily bond trading stood at EGP 18.5 billion, against EGP 3.2 billion for shares, highlighting the much larger flow of liquidity into bonds than equities.

The contrast between the two markets was a key feature of September’s trading picture, even as the exchange’s overall monthly turnover changed little.
