Russia Raises Nuclear Warning Over Kaliningrad as NATO Tensions Mount

Russia has warned that an attempt by NATO to isolate Kaliningrad could lead to the use of nuclear weapons, escalating tensions with the alliance.

The warning placed Kaliningrad at the centre of the confrontation, linking the possibility of nuclear force to any move by NATO to cut it off.

NATO, meanwhile, said its activities are defensive and do not target Russian territory, rejecting Moscow’s nuclear threats.

The alliance also reaffirmed its support for Ukraine, maintaining that commitment despite Russia’s warning.
