Egypt Seeks to Expand Entrepreneurship and Strengthen Youth’s Role

Egypt aims to broaden opportunities for entrepreneurship and strengthen the role of young people, Planning and Economic Development Minister Ahmed Rostom said.

Rostom said the state views its entrepreneurship agenda as an investment in the economy of the future, underscoring its importance to the country’s economic direction.

He stressed the need to move the agenda into a new phase that would help expand the scope of startups.

The minister’s remarks placed startup growth and greater youth participation at the centre of the push to widen the fields open to entrepreneurship.
