Mystery Call From Three-Van Group Sparks Security Alert Near RAF Fairford

A mysterious phone call from a passenger in a group travelling in three vans triggered a security alert near Britain’s RAF Fairford airbase, which is used by US forces.

Newly reported details put the call at the centre of the incident, which prompted a counterterrorism response. The account offered limited information about what the caller said or why the vehicles were near the base.

The incident raised suspicions of a possible link to Iran. Tehran denied any connection, and the information provided does not establish Iranian involvement.

The circumstances surrounding the call and the three vans remain unclear. While the response reflected concern over security near the airbase, no confirmed explanation for the incident was given.
