Hossam Hassan: Egypt has 120 million people, national team does not depend on one player

Egypt coach Hossam Hassan said Mohamed Salah’s absence from the match against South Sudan was due to personal circumstances.

The coach stressed that the Egyptian national team does not depend on any single player, making that point as he addressed the absence of Salah.

Hassan pointed to Egypt’s population of 120 million to underline his message that the national side is bigger than any individual.
