Masdar Signs Deal to Acquire Major Solar Project in Greece

Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, known as Masdar, has announced an agreement to acquire one of Greece’s largest solar energy projects and carry out its development.

The deal will strengthen Greece’s clean energy infrastructure, expanding Masdar’s role in the country’s renewable energy sector.

The project is also intended to support Greece’s ambition to establish itself as a leading digital hub in Europe, with clean energy infrastructure forming part of that broader drive.

The agreement further reinforces the strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and Greece through cooperation in renewable energy.

The announcement did not specify the project’s name, generating capacity, acquisition value or development timetable.
