Egypt Seeks Common African Approach to Telecoms and AI

Egypt is taking part in the sixth session of the African Union’s Specialized Technical Committee on Communication and Information Technologies, seeking to align African views on the future of telecommunications and artificial intelligence.

The session is being held in Libreville, the capital of Gabon, from October 26 to 30.

Egypt’s participation places its efforts to build a shared African outlook within the African Union’s specialized forum for communications and information technology.

The focus on telecommunications and AI brings both established digital infrastructure and emerging technologies into the discussion of Africa’s technological future.
