Swedish Ambassador: Egypt’s Stability Is a Core EU Interest

Preserving Egypt’s stability amid conflicts across the region is a core interest of the European Union, Swedish Ambassador to Egypt Dan Juhlin-Dannfelt said.

The ambassador linked the importance of stability in Egypt to the wider regional situation, stressing its significance for the EU as conflicts continue.

His remarks framed Egypt’s stability as a shared European concern, rather than an issue confined to relations between Cairo and Stockholm.

The central message was that maintaining stability in Egypt remains a fundamental European interest against a backdrop of regional conflict.
