Tehran Meeting May Not Halt US Military Escalation, International Relations Expert Says

Former diplomat and international relations expert Ambassador Dr. Hisham Hamdan has cautioned that a four-party meeting hosted by Tehran may not be enough to stop US military escalation.

The meeting included delegations from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey, bringing representatives of the three countries to the Iranian capital for talks.

Hamdan expressed hope that the gathering would produce a positive outcome, while questioning whether it could prevent further military escalation by the United States.

His assessment was cautious rather than definitive: the meeting offered an opportunity for diplomacy, but its ability to halt escalation remained uncertain.
