Omani Writer Warns Renewed War on Iran Could Undermine Gulf Security Efforts

Omani journalist Rami Ibrahim has warned of possible attempts in the coming period to derail regional efforts aimed at reaching shared understandings on Gulf security.

His warning raised concerns that renewed war on Iran could be used to obstruct moves toward regional security arrangements.

Ibrahim said initiatives seeking common ground on the Gulf’s security could face efforts to prevent them from advancing. He presented such disruption as a possibility, rather than a confirmed development.

The remarks focused on the risks facing regional attempts to build security understandings. The brief statement did not identify who might seek to undermine those efforts or specify when such attempts could occur.
