Magdi Yacoub and Abdel Moati Hegazy Among Names Considered for Cairo Book Fair 2027 Honoree

Egypt’s cultural circles are awaiting a decision on the personality to be honoured at the 58th Cairo International Book Fair in 2027.

Magdi Yacoub and Abdel Moati Hegazy are among the prominent names under consideration, with the selection yet to be finalised.

The fair’s higher committee is continuing discussions on a number of proposed candidates for the designation.

For now, the two figures remain possible choices rather than confirmed honorees, as attention turns to the committee’s final decision.
