Egyptian Ingenuity Shattered Bar Lev Line Myth, Former Reconnaissance Chief Says

Egyptian ingenuity shattered the myth surrounding the Bar Lev Line, said Major General Mohamed Abdel Moneim, former head of the reconnaissance service, in remarks marking the anniversary of the October War.

Abdel Moneim described the anniversary as an occasion to remember the sacrifices of those killed and wounded, as well as everyone who took part in the national struggle.

His tribute extended beyond the battlefield achievement, placing those who gave their lives or suffered injuries at the heart of the commemoration.

The former reconnaissance chief’s remarks linked pride in overcoming the Bar Lev Line with remembrance of the sacrifices made by those who participated in the war.
