Cairo Armenian Association Marks Egyptian Foreign Ministry’s 200th Anniversary

The Cairo Armenian General Benevolent Association is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the establishment of Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The commemoration coincides with another milestone: 120 years since the founding of the Armenian General Benevolent Union.

By marking the two anniversaries together, the association is pairing a landmark in Egyptian diplomatic history with a major anniversary for the Armenian charitable organisation.

The joint celebration places the histories of both institutions at the centre of the Cairo association’s commemorations.
