Africa Bears Cost of Global Conflicts as Egypt Moves to Protect Its Interests, Expert Says

Egypt is pursuing a clear strategic vision toward Africa as the continent faces the fallout from global conflicts, according to African affairs expert Dr. Ramadan Qarni.

Qarni described Africa as paying the price for those conflicts, placing the continent’s challenges within a wider international context.

He characterized Egypt’s approach as proactive and aimed at protection, rather than simply a response to developments after they unfold.

Qarni said the strategy rests on consolidating what he called the “Egyptian triad.” The brief remarks did not specify the three elements of that framework or outline particular measures linked to it.
