Yemeni Government Seeks to Restore Balance Against Houthis, Analyst Says

Yemen’s government is seeking to restore the balance in its confrontation with the Houthis by moving toward a broad military operation, according to Ahmed al-Yasiri.

Al-Yasiri, head of the Arab Australian Centre for Strategic Studies, made the assessment from Sydney.

He framed the move toward a wider operation as an effort to rebalance the confrontation, describing what he sees as the government’s strategic objective.
