Water Utility Steps Up Winter Rain Preparations, Highlights Reporting Hotline

Egypt’s Holding Company for Water and Wastewater began implementing a comprehensive plan in August to prepare for the rainy season, according to Ahmed Riad, director of the company’s media centre.

The preparations are aimed at readying the company for winter rainfall, with work beginning ahead of the season.

Riad described the effort as an integrated plan. The brief statement did not provide details of individual measures or where they would be carried out.
