Diplomacy Only Option to Avoid Devastating Regional War, Political Researcher Says

Writer and political researcher Ibrahim Hamdan said diplomacy remains the only option for avoiding a devastating regional war amid continued US pressure on Iran.

Hamdan argued that ongoing American threats and pressure against Tehran undermine the prospects for building trust between the two sides.

He said that approach also obstructs efforts to revive negotiations, making a return to diplomatic engagement more difficult.

His warning linked the need to avert a wider conflict with the prospects for restoring a negotiating path, placing diplomacy at the centre of efforts to prevent escalation.
