Sisi Calls for Stronger Public-Private Partnerships and New Development Financing Mechanisms in Africa

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has called for stronger partnerships between the public and private sectors across Africa, alongside more effective mechanisms to finance development.

His appeal placed cooperation between the two sectors at the centre of efforts to advance development on the continent.

Sisi also urged innovation in development financing, calling for mechanisms that would work more effectively in the coming period.

The call linked closer public-private collaboration with the need to improve how development is funded, presenting both as priorities for Africa’s next phase.
