Sinai Development Is a Shield for Egypt’s National Security, Military Expert Says

Developing Sinai is among the most important priorities for safeguarding Egypt’s national security, Major General Mahmoud Talha said.

Talha, an adviser at the Military Academy for Postgraduate and Strategic Studies, described development in the peninsula as a protective barrier for the country.

His remarks placed Sinai’s development firmly within the national security agenda, highlighting its significance beyond construction and economic activity alone.

Talha’s central message was that building up Sinai and protecting Egypt’s national security are closely linked, making the peninsula’s development a matter of strategic importance.
